Magna-Cladd Chromium Plate
Magna-Cladd Chromium Carbide Plate is a 27-31% Chromium Carbide composite working in tandem with 1.5% to 2% Manganese and 1%-1.5% Molybdenum bonded to a mild steel base. This combination of materials gives true carbide protection with an average of 600 BHN in the cladd matrix while insuring cutting and formability due to the mild steel base.

Magna-Cladd is ideal for exhaust fan blades, slurry piping, slag handling equipment and more. One square foot of Magna-Cladd can be welded in place within 10-15 minutes (On average). (This same coverage using the typical high chrome hard facing electrode would take 2.5 to 3 hours to apply.)

Magna-Cladd offers a 15-20% increase in wear life over the typical AR Plate especially in applications where heat is a consideration. Magna-Cladd performs well in temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees.
