Bearing Housings

Slurry Pump Parts by Magnum cast high quality bearing housings that will interchange with OEM housings. Our housings are redesigned utilizing heavier wall sections, and manufactured from ASTM A-148, a rigid, low carbon steel, which can be re-built over and over again. OEM housings are typically cast iron. These cannot be readily welded and rebored to bearing tolerances.

Slurry Pump Parts by Magnum is currently the largest supplier of AISI 4340 pump shaft material in the southeastern United States and the Caribbean.

Stuffing Boxes

Our patent-pending stuffing boxes can be utilized on various OEM style pumps. Our unique design allows adjustment while the pump is in operation. The adjusting mechanism is protected from the rotating shaft by the housing itself, coupled with a guard which remains in place until a complete re-packing is required. Adjustment is as simple as tightening two or four adjusting nuts, depending on the size of the unit. This can be done in compliance with MSHA standards while the unit is in operation.
